VANKRIS

Sensation jest już jednym z legendarnych, najlepszych i największych tanecznych imprez halowych. Popularność eventu jest ogromna. W internecie znajdują się miliony nieoficjalnych foto i video relacji z poszczególnych edycji. Miłośników muzyki trance przyciągają tak wielkie osobistości jak Ferry Corsten, Marco V i Armin van Buuren.

Historia Sensation, mino ogromnego prestiżu, nie jest długa. Pierwsza edycja odbyła się w 2001 roku, podczas której wystąpił m.in. Tiesto i Jean. Wówczas wydarzenie zostało przyjęte z ogromnym entuzjazmem ze strony klubowiczów. W następnym roku Agencja ID&T postanowiła zorganizować dwie edycję, edycję White i edycję Black. Edycje miały się różnić gatunkami muzycznymi, które prezentowane były podczas eventu. Sensation White jest organizowana z myślą o miłośnikach muzyki trance, a Sensation Black o miłośnikach muzyki hardtrance, hardcore i hardstyle. Holenderska Agencja ID&T stworzyła wiele udanych projektów, jednak to Sensation White i Black przyciąga największą rzesze uczestników. Co roku Amsterdam Arena jest wypełniona po brzegi tańczącym tłumem, który liczy 40 000 osób. Sensation White i Black, podobnie jak Trance Energy jest spektakularnym, nieco teatralnym widowiskiem. Nieprawdopodobne, artystyczne dekoracje umożliwiają podróż w czasie, baśniową teleportacje do innego wymiaru. Na ogromnych, znajdujących się wszędzie telebimach wyświetlane są zaskakujące wizualizacje. Wówczas impreza przybiera bajkowy, nierealny charakter. Bardzo charakterystyczną cechą Sensation jest ubiór, jaki obowiązuje uczestników eventu. Podczas Sensation White klubowicze są zobowiązani do białego stroju, natomiast podczas Sensation Black do czarnego. Strój jest poniekąd przepustką na event „dresscode”. Moment, w którym 40 000 tłum ludzi ubranych na biało i porusza się w ten sam rytm jest imponujący, taki sam zaskakujący efekt towarzyszy edycji Black. Istotny jest charakter tych nieprawdopodobnych artystycznych dekoracji. Dekoracje nie są przypadkowe. Co roku impreza ma określony charakter, a DJ’e wcielają się w różne role. Wystrój edycja White, która odbyła się w 2004 roku był stylizowany na starożytną Grecję. Wszędzie znajdowały się posągi Greków, na telebimach były prezentowane scenki rodem ze starożytnej Grecji, a tancerki wyglądały jak mityczne boginie. Megamix był przeplatany mitologicznymi opowieściami. Już w roku następnym, czyli 2005 obie edycje przybrały nieco dramatyczniejszy charakter. Nieprawdopodobne dekoracje stylizowały ogromną halę, warto zwrócić uwagę na szklaną, przeźroczystą kopułę, która w kulminacyjnym momencie symuluje atak na podwodny świata. Towarzyszą temu zjawisku liczne lasery i efekty pirotechniczne. Widowiska, co roku zaskakują ogromną kreatywnością ze strony organizatorów, czyli Agencji ID&T . Wszystkie niesamowite symulacje, pokazy i sceny odbywają się przy muzyce serwowanej przez DJ’ów z najwyższej „półki”. Każdej edycji towarzyszy hymn. Co roku zostaje wybierany DJ, który jest zobowiązany do stworzenia hymnu „anthem” danej edycji. W 2005 roku hymnem Sensation White było „Serenity” stworzone przez Armina van Buurena, a w 2004 roku twórcą hymny Sensation Black „Mindspace” był Luna. Bilety na Sensation rozchodzą się w błyskawicznym tempie. Przed imprezą osiągają znacznie wyższą cenę, będąc jedynie w ofercie koników. Dla osób, którym nie udało się nabyć biletu Agencja ID&T zapewnia internetową transmisję na żywo (transmitowany jest zarówno obraz jak i dzwięk) z imprezy i livestream (transmitowane jedynie sety). Każda edycja jest poprzedzona trailerem, krótkim filmem promujących wydarzenie. Natomiast po imprezie ID&T publikuje oficjalne filmy relacjonujące najlepsze fragmenty z imprez. Dodatkowo label ID&T wydaje płyty CD, na których znajdują się hymny poszczególnych edycji w różnych remixach oraz zestawienia najlepszych produkcji biorących udział w evencie DJ’ów. Mimo krótkiej, 5 letniej tradycji Sensation, event jest również organizowany w Niemczech (Sensation White Germany 2005) i w Belgii (Sensation White Belgium 2005). W zeszłym roku pojawiły się plotki na temat rozmów dotyczących polskiej edycji Sensation. Mimo nadziei, którą zrodziły upłynie sporo czasu nim eventy o taki prestiżu i rozmachu będą organizowane w Polsce.
